1. automated vacuum , and its more expensive cousin, the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we have tested. They feature top-of-the-line motors that can produce up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Like other iRobots with premium features (including the most powerful model) they employ smart mapping to create detailed floor plans and eliminate household obstacles like cords and furniture leg. The robots also have Carpet Boost, a feature which boosts its power when it detects dirt on the carpet.
Both the Q5 as well as the Q7 Max Series get very high scores on our tests on floors that are bare, and they're particularly adept in removing pet hair. They do have some flaws however, which hinder them from being our first choice. One of the weaknesses of the Q5 is that its navigation system doesn't feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's thus susceptible to get stuck on shoes and socks and couldn't navigate rooms with lots of people well during our tests. It doesn't also come with a camera to look around corners.
It's still a great deal, especially if your home or office has a lot of unfinished floors and you're looking to save money. It's also very quiet and can work when you're at work or school. The only thing it doesn't have that you can't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. And it's less effective at mopping, using disposable wet wipes that don't hold on very well and can't handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle, however. If you're in need of it mop, the mopping pad can be changed for a wet one in seconds.
2. IRobot Roomba X30

It's not as effective on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.
During tests, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop that could complete an entire home, and it did so with only 66 percent of its battery left. It also did an excellent job cleaning a range of floors and rooms with mixed flooring types, including some area carpets. Its obstacle detection was great and it stayed clear of fake dog turds and socks, shoes and bundles cables.
It's a little more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but it has superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empties into the base. It also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It even cleans the floor after vacuuming, a feature that we haven't seen in other robot vacuum/mop combos.

It's also a bit costly however, not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally capable and better looking. If you're willing to live with a bit more noise and some extra cost, this is a very powerful two-in-one that will please almost everyone.

Additionally the recharge and resume function that lets your robot vacuum continue where it left off is ideal for busy families.

It also mops with a single pad and a rotating motion which is cleaner than the majority of the mop cleaners with robots that we've tested. It's also highly self-sufficient, with a fully-featured application, and a self-emptying base that is washable.
